We had our local Toy Run this past Saturday.
It was a record attendance in the 14 year history. Nearly 1200 riders grossing over $15,000 in donations. (not bad for a small comunity) Bikes of all kinds showed up and rode happily together. We paraded through three towns across the county. Then had the normal food, live music, raffles and door prizes at the end.

The bashing came later.
Some people complained publicly about being caught in traffic because of the parade. Others complained about the noise from so many loud bikes.

I just dont get it.
How can people be so hartless and complain about such a charitable event inconveniencing them for a few minutes. :disapp:

Some people don't care about anything but themselves, just got to learn to ignore those a**holes. Ya'll did a great thing, don't let the jerks get to you.

All you can do jeeps is hope that they end up on the short end of the stick someday, and because of them and people like them, the help they all of the sudden feel like they need or deserve won't be there, and the only thing they can do is kick themselves in the ass.

people amaze me. we have a make-a-wish convoy here every year with all the local trucking companies participating. wish kids actually ride in the cabs of the trucks. this year we had about 200 in the convoy. it brought tears to my eyes to see this, it was so beautiful. however one heartless woman had the audacity to write to our paper and complain about being held up in traffic for 1/2 hour while all these trucks passed. for as much compassion there is in the world there is also as much insincerity. what a shame. we just can't let one bad apple ruin the whole bunch, i guess.

I say we take these people and put them thru whatever illness or tragic expierence that the charity is trying to help....then see if they have a different outlook!!

Society is just plain f'd up today. You try and do some good thing and there's always one or two nutcases out there wining about it.....until it affects their lives. :bash:
GAWD I hate these people who whine about being stopped in traffic for FIVE GOD :cens: NED minutes to let a charitable event pass unmolested!
