TWF Gap Rally
***Ive Updated this post since it was originally put up***
I know we had a thread about this a couple months ago, but we've added a ton of new members since then, and things have changed alot so I thought I'd put something up here as a sticky so we can reference it and keep all the info in the same place.
Right now the initial thoughts were to try and plan on going down to the gap the same time as WOS goes down May 28 - June 4th, to maximize the participation of as many as possible...However these days are not set in stone as of yet as far as TWF goes. So its open to suggestions to see if these dates work for everyone or not.
Be sure to post in here as soon as possible so we can get the dates officially set to give everybody time, since many of our places of employment allow us to put in for vacation near the beginning of the new year. We'll do our best to get everybody down there that we can.
Again, this thread is to gage the interest and see how many of us can attend. Shan will have the final say of course as to when we go down, but this will give us a good starting point to go by

It does suck for those that can't make the Memorial week trip but Labor Day weekend is like the busiest weekend at the Gap, loaded with traffic and idiots sounds like no fun to me. Well....I should rephrase that - I deal with traffic and idiots everyday, but the Gap + traffic and idiots is a nightmare.

Um did you and Ace take the same class of NOT PAYING ATTENTION? I know the "Fab 5" as you are a part of and I make no mistake that I will speak my mind when I am pissed off about something that just isn't right - like 5 people making the decision for everyone else without considering one iota of their input but read my post again - NOT LABOR DAY WEEKEND - The week after Labor Day - how busy will that be? Let me check - probably not because kids are in school, etc. But I know the Almighty Twisty has spoken as the leader of the Fab 5 and Memorial Day Week is the ONLY week that is good at the gap. As far as July I could do that. I am flexible I can do any week except for Memorial Week (obviously) or the week after. Other than that I have 52 weeks open. Of course we have burned two of those and the week after my two weeks after might be bad so I am down to 49 - sorry for being so difficult.. lol..
So with that short response in mind let's discuss July and/or Labor Day and get something planned. Oh and BTW comments from the Fab 5 or anyone else that has derogatory unfounded BS to say will be disreagarded so don't waste your time continuing to post it here. We are trying to "plan" a trip and although I know you have no concept of planning or considering other people's schedules and we value your valuable input - save it for the judge. Peace, out.

Just got back from a little "Over Sea's" vacation thank's to my rich Uncle, and found this thread. I can make it for a couple of day's for either date, and would like to meet as many from both groups as possible ! If anybody is going to be in the area over the Memorial day weekend, post here or IM me, as I will be in the Bairsville, GA area that weekend as well, and would be glad to escort unfamilar riders over the Dragon !
