This is great idea! Every year DJ and I do something! This year we sent in money to the Rescue Mission... 22 people will have dinner tomorrow because of us.. Also we usually grab some names of kids off the Angel Trees at the mall and go crazy buying gifts for them. As the kids get older I would like to go and help with the dinner, when they can go too and that way it will teach them to appreciate what they have. :thumbs:

I've always wanted to volunteer at a soup kitchen for cmas or thanksgiving but who runs those? I dunno who to contact to find out how

All you have to do is just show up and let them know you are there to help out. They love to have people volunteer to help out. DJ and I have done that and let me tell ya, it is a great experience. You would be amazed after talking to some of the people there, who they are and what they use to do.
