Anyone own of the new bikes that has two headlights, but uses only one? Those bikes look like they are winking at me. My friend has a 1990 Chevy truck with four headlights. The outer two are low beams, and the inner ones are high. When the high beams come on, the low beams go off. He wanted all four beams on for the high beams. We got a $15 kit that includes all the wiring and the relay. With all the BS and phone interuptions it took us two hours to put it on today, but all four beams come on now for high.

I saw a thread on my CBR forum http://forums.cbrworld.net/forums/42405/ShowPost.aspx where someone took out the H7 bulbs, put in H4's and a relay so that he has two lights for low and two lights for high.

 yeah.. I don't know why or who came up with that Idea, but it looks like if one of the headlight is out for people who don't know about bikes

Suzuki is bout the only one that has all lights on anymore, the new 03+ kawis and Yamaha and hondas with twin lights are all one on one off on lowbeam...

Suzukis SV's have side by sides that are both on i htink, but thats one of few side by sides where both run on low beams.

One of them isn't a light at all. it's on the high beam side. It's a reflector type thingy. But highbimmin.com does a conversion and adds the fouth light and two are low and two are high. I was interested but the 06' R6 might be my nxt purchase. That thing redlines at 17.5!

I have people tell me that I have a light out all the time on my RC. One just so happened to be at night. Pulled up next to a guy at a light and he yelled out that one of my lights was out. I shook my head no and when light turned green got behind him and turned both lights on (high beams), dont think he was so happy about that. BUt generally I ride at all times with my high beams on. Fork them if they are little bright on their eyes! Least they see me.

I do that too. My high beam is bright as fuk in their rear view. I told one of my buddies to see if the bulb was broken once and I flicked on the high beam. Then i proceeded to laugh at him.

My fz6 originally came with only one on and the second was on with the highbeam only. Some folks on my FZ6 forum discovered that it works on European models so they did some research. There is a wire from the headlight relay all the way to the last harness before the lights and it stops. Well if you continue it on and hook it up to the empty connector on the "off" light...taadaaa it works "correctly." That is the low beam portion turns off when the highbeam comes on so it doesn't have too much amp draw or heat.

I've heard the reason some side-by-side headlights only use one on low beam is a safety issue. They said that when both are on it looks like a car far away instead of a bike that is close.
