the city where I work has BMW for Police Bikes...I always see them at starbucks in the mornings.... :lol: :lol: the bikes look nice...

I have one...my 1978 CB 750 Automatic was designed as a police motorcycle...the GX 500 shaft drive was used by several departments as a trike. Honda was underpowered as Kawi introduced their 1000 as a police bike and it won and the CB 750 A was only produced for 2-3 years...

Gas, Never seen K1200RS police bikes in North America. Europe Yes

RS more HP, plus costs more. BMW markets K1150 RT as police bike. Seen plenty of K1150 RT as police bikes, CHP plus many other PD's use RT.
Never seen Honda, plenty of Kawi, BMW K1150 RT and HD used by PD departments.

Michigan now has BMW bikes. The state is money pinch but the bought 8 $17k bikes for the pigs. Dont get it. Detroit is laying off Cops but they just spend 20 million on the riverfront
