So I've narrowed down my choices to either the Vortex Frame Sliders or the Shogun Sliders to replace my current no-cut Intuitive Sliders on my R6, since that's the two brands that were mentioned alot on my previous thread. Do you guys think one is better than the other? Since both are cut-style sliders, is one easier to install than the other for my bike? Or are there any other specific brand of sliders for the Yamaha R6 that you R6 owners out there would recommend? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

That is going to be the most common statement. I have put a set of a 600RR and they were very nice. However, put some anti-sieze on the bolt that bolts the two halfs together... his got all stuck together...

I had Shogun on my 9R and I know Twisty put down the TL1000S at like 90 with them on and they did a great job!

If you crash a lot, go for the cheapo ones from ebay. They're only $20 and its decent delrin. I went though 3 sets over the past year. They saved me so much money.

One Vortex replacement puck will be $15 at the best price. Still better than the $40 to $80 price for the whole set.

Yes, thats if its a very light slide or drop from stand still.

One good lowside and definitely a high-side will snap or bend the whole slider.

I have had to replace bolts before from a high side. That was an extra $4 at the hard ware store + new puck. Nothing was wrong with the spool.

I've seen, and had them both break and bend bolts. It sucks because they don't really do the job they were intended on. In my experience, these are rare occasions for the most part but still happens.

Yeah my carbon fiber inlays bent like a crooked bietch on my deer high/lo side! I was like :cursin: and then I was like :dthumb: that I wasn't hurt then I was back to :rant: cause I screwed the bike up!
