Im going to India in january for about 5 weeks. In Mumbai, there is an area where there are about 50 leather goods stores ( I bought a good leather jacket for about $35). So im gonna ask them to make me a bike jacket. Im gonna give them the armor and have them make it to my size/specs.

Any ideas where I can just get the armor? I think i need the elbows, shoulders, and back... what other pieces would I need?

Any other suggestions for design? (vents/pockets etc)

That's a great idea. I know a guy who went to Korea and had a leather jacket made for him, it's really nice.

As far as where to get the armor, I'm not sure I could help there. A lot of jackets have removable armor, surely they sell it alone?

A* use to have a crash suit (hard pads) that was wore under street suit. I haven't seen one in a while but all their suits have replaceable armor. You should be able to get what you need from them.

Yeah I think you can order replaceable armor for about any jacket... just find a jacket with armor that you like!
