I am looking for a 50cc 4 wheeler for my 4yr old. We took him up to a friends house over the weekend for him to ride to see if he'll like them. Well...after about 2-3 hrs, he was riding the 4 wheeler like he had been riding for yrs. At the end of the night, when putting them away in the garage, he decided to put his feet on the rear tire flaps and pull ii up. :yikes: Hes only 4 and did a wheelie. The best one was about 5ft.

Well, if you have one for sell or know someone that does, let me know. Thanks.

4 years old on a 50cc 4 wheeler???? :bash: just seems to be begging for some sort of an accident. Aren't those made for like 10 year olds? Just seems at 4 your not quite mature enough mentally to know the risks etc. Most are still crappin the pants at 4. Why not get him a pocketbike as well. I have one for sale if your interested! :here:

I hear ya,
But you can put a slotted nut on the throttle slide to prevent WOT. it will work as a throttle stop and can be reduced as he developes WEIGHT and skill. These can run at like 10mph or less with the right size nut. But I wouldnt allow it to run wide open for while. Ive seen four year olds on thoes electric ones run ito a car or house and just keep it pegged until an adult runs over to shut it off.

Actually not all 4 year olds are at a 4 year olds mind level. Some progress alot faster...such as my son. He did an awesome job friday and it was his 1st time ever. He knows his limits and he stuck with it. As for crappin his pants...NOPE sorry he stopped doing that along time ago. I know plenty of kids who have started out younger and are much more dangerous than my son. I will do what I see fit for my child and you can do the same. Im sorry if you don't feel he is ready for this, but I DO!! I know my child!!!!!! But hey, thanks again for your input. I always look forward to your replies!!

I have to agree with 3BoyzNaBike. Not all kids develope at the same rate and speed. There are friends I have that started there kids as early as 3 and they have been riding for yrs now. The kids loves it. Austin was going a bit fast on a corner and tilted on 2 wheels, now how many kids, let along some adults, know to lean the other way to conter it and bring it back down like he did? I was on a 4 wheeler right behind him the whole time and when I saw him do that, I knew he was fine on it and time to buy him his own.

As much as I appreicate anyone and everyones concerns, This thread is about me looking for someone selling a 4 wheeler and not how I can better raise my son. Thanks. :dthumb:

I'm sure just like everyone else claims, that your child is smarter and more developed than the rest. Regardless all Iwas stating is that 4 seems a bit young to be putting on a 50cc 4 wheeler or any real motorized vehicle. But hey, its your kid and responsibility. Lucky kid! I also think you need to buy my pocket bike for him!
