Im looking for a bike that has either been crashed or has a blown engine for tech school. I need a reasonable sport bike that can be repaired without spending more than its worth. I need all the information possible about the bike. Also needs to be able to be shipped if not in wisconsin/minnesota area. Please reply to [email protected].

Try Ebay, lots of salvage title bikes on there. Watch out for scams though.

I noticed that when you can get a 06 cbr for 2800 that somethings not right i rather try to buy one from anywhere but ebay.

E-bay's not a BAD place to buy... if you know what your doing and don't get greedy with the deal... what I mean by that is... you'll get a good deal... maybe even a great one... but if it's too good to be true... pass it up... not worth the risk.

Also... I'm not sure about anyone else... but I haven't heard of any scams involving salvaged bikes... it's usually a 2004 R1 with less than 1000 miles for $2800 or so... :2cents:

I don't know if they have them in your area, but insurance salvage yards have auctions. they sale "TOTALED" bikes to the highest bidder. i have been to them in my area and you can get one for 200-500 dollars. you might want to check in to it

I have a 96 Zx6R. Engine is good. Looks like I have a spark plug stuck in the head though. Other than that, everything was fine after I low-sided. Cosmetics-wise. Not such a pretty looking bike. where are you located? I'm trying to get rid of the bike for $1000. I was going to turn it into my track bike, but picked up an 05 ZX6R instead.

Since you're looking in the MN/WI area check out crashedtoys.com if you need a project. I've never purchased from them, but they seem to have a lot of options and they are relatively local.
