Finally after well over a year, my friend Dave is putting his formerly mint '84 GPZ 750 back together after a drunk crashed into his garage. :cursin:

He needs a rear fender off of a '84/'85 GPZ 750 GPZ1100 750 Turbo

Contact Dave direct at [email protected]

Here's some pics of the damaged bike and the "before" pic.

Thank you very much

hey there Jeff... glad to see you check in again!

I know one shouldn't have to ask but have you or him checked ebay?

:iagree: Find some salvage dealers on ebay for other more popular bikes and parts and send the e-mail to ask if they might have the parts needed. Might wont to do a internet search for motorcycle salvage yards also.

Thanks for the suggestions Chris & Jeeps

Dave's been looking at ebay, contacting bike salvage yards and looking for NOS at the local dealers.

The problem he's run into at the salvage yards is that they say, "yes, we have one/some" Then he gets a call back saying it broke when they tries to remove it as the plastic becomes brittle.

Hopefully one of the fellow enthusiasts has one :dthumb:

There's lots of stuff on Ebay for GPZ 750

On a EBay search for GPZ fender I found these that might do the trick!!

Inner Fender
Inner Fender again
Rear Fender that may need some TLC

You could also contact those sellers and see if they have exactly what you're looking for!!!
Dave checked out those items and this was his reply:
Jeff,
That's the wrong piece. The plastic parts shown are under the seat and go forward. The piece I need joins to that piece and goes towards the rear and holds the tail light and turnsignals. I've also contacted the sellers to see if they have the piece I need. They don't... of course.
Right now I'm getting ready to start putting together the table to straighten the frame. If it was 60 outside I'd be out there but right now it's too easy to watch the Olympics instead!
Thanks for the help! Dave
The quest continues :readng:
