It was 47 degrees here today... called it a good day to ride.. my rear tire has aobut a 2" flat spot.. wear barts are worn past...so i gotta order a new tire tuesday but it was too nice to pass it up... rode with my roomate and his Triumph daytona 955i, he has an ew set of tires he needed to break in. So we started in Reno at 4500feet elevation and rode 12 miles to Virginia City which is 12 miles of sweeping corners and one straight of aobut a half mile, maybe a lil more. The tire is so worn it gettign a choppy feeling at full lean since i think its making less contact...so i was unable ot get knee down.. well didnt want to with jeans on, but normally the rubber at the ned of the tire is hard and i didnt wanna lowside it since im sure the tires couldnt get that hot in 47 degrees... But got the 12 miles farhter and up to 6200 feet.. the bike lost a lot of power in the elevation gain.. so i stopped, reset the fuel map to lean it out for high elevation on the PC3 and rode some more up there.. then rode back same way.. 25 miles or so of twisitys plus a lil city riding. Re-tuned hte fuel for perofrmnance since it was leaned previously for mileage.. did some nice wheelies.... Kept one up for prob 40 feet.
All in all it was a good day.. i liekd his Daytona.. wanted ot ride it but we iddnt really have time.. its a nice bike though.. honestly with the 2 Bros exhaust it sounds better hten any 4 cylinder or twin ive heard.. Down low grunt of a Twin and smooth sound like a 4.... Bike truly is beautiful and pretty quick.... He had no problems keeping up till we got to bout 110. Hit 155 on that straight at aobut 6000feet...not bad for so high up on a richly tuned Nakid bike., not hte fastest ive taken it, but the fastest shes seen since about Oct.
just need the new tires and to videotape the burnout of the old one.....
