Nice work, haven't done one of those, but now that you've mentioned it......

I had a crazy weekend. Installed 5 Pellas on the house, changed two cars' oil, treated some concrete flooring for radon/water emission, and then put our new front-load washer onto a home-made platform on the concrete

Fortunately, my dad was in to help with the windows. One window's trim paint is all that's left, thank the heavens.

I like home improvement projects and have pretty extensive experience with them. Ask away and someone on here might have a hint or two for ya!

kanwicks, you ever do a garage conversion or anything of that nature?

If by that you mean from a garage to living space, no. Building a garage is on my list, and I'd probably sub out the concrete base, but the rest is easy.

Living spaces get tricky, esp if you have to cut into the concrete to run plumbing for water/sewage. If you haven't done PVC sewage lines yet, this is best subbed out since mistakes result in plugged lines. Yech uke:

However, I have finished a walk-out basement from brick walls and concrete to finished living space, and I assume the concepts are at least similar. If you'd like the steps I'd do, drop me a PM and I'll give you a step-by-step of how I went about it.

:rofl: That gives me new ideas. With the wonders of wireless routers and high powered handhelds, I could telecommute from my bathroom! Might have to upgrade the commode to one of those fancy Japanese models though
