the whistling is because your gas tank is above the motor.. on a decnelty longer ride... it heats up the gas... its jsut the vapor escaping hte vent system... dont worry aobut it.. or if u want it silent then keep the tank full.. it will be quiet then
as for the PI PL thing... its a Suzuki.. its gonan have all sorta of useless stuff..lol

only thing im jealous of on the SV is the Grab bar in the rear.. good for stretching mid ride or for the girl to hold onto when your tagging it from behind while she holds the bike in the garage...lmao jk great for using to lay comfortalby on while held up in construction zones for the flagger.

Right on Scott....it is your gas tank breathing... next time it does it...just open your gas tank...it will give ya a BIG hiss and then re close it and it will have stopped.

PI PL????? Parking Incline & Parking Lights

As in one will lock the steering for parking on a incline or to deter someone from stealing it. The other will lock the steering and leave the parking lights on!

At least that's what my Kaw will do and it sounds correct...

WHHHAAATTTTT!!!!!!!!!!

Why would you need lights to park on an incline?!?!?!? It says "PL" the engraving is just hard to read. When you turn the key to the first lock position the lights and ignition are off just like on almost every other bike. When you turn it all the way over to "PL" it leaves the taillight and a low intensity bulb inside the headlight on so your bike doesn't get hit at night while parking on the street. It's a European dating way back to the 70's. Be careful though, you're bike most likely does not have a battery drain protection circuit on it, none of them do as far as I know. So if you turn it to PL by accident and leave it sit for longer then a few hours your battery will be dead in no time. Hmmmmmm.......a certain Triumph owner comes to mind whenever this topic comes up.
