Soo...I'm bored and cruising the cycle trader ads for Blackbirds...no reason...just looking. Then I notice that a nearby dealer has an '02 on his lot. (uh oh)

Well I go by and look and take her out on a healthy testride. :yikes: :dthumb:

Here's the end result:

What I get:

2002 Honda CBR1100XX
Galfer brake lines
12k miles
Stock
Mint condition
16k Valve job and oil change (thrown in for free when it comes due)

What it costs:
2004 Stock Honda VFR non-abs
9k Miles
$75 Processing fees
That's it. Woot!

You'll miss the gear whine from the VFR, but that's about all. You'll gain a ton of torque. The new $17K BMW 1200S compares with the Blackbird, except for the suspension. Plus, you have a centerstand.

 you sure? I mean, I think the blackbird has just a little bit of advantage over the 1200S
