I was wondering what cell company people are using and what they think of the service.

Nextel and it blows.

never works 1 bit.. i miss calls, miss messages, drop convo's, and the quality of voice when it does work is really not understandable.

I dropped my last nextel phone off the bike on the interstate and got another one as a replacement from my company- still sucked the same.... i then upgraded to a newer model hoping it would fix the issues.. nope the service is just crap.

I swear that phone is going to be the end of me. It makes me so mad

Yuh well it's by far one of the only cell compaies that haven't screwed me over yet, and I seem to get decient coverage as long as I'm not at home. Besides dude how are ya gonna beotch your phone is FREE and you're not paying a penny for it!!!!
Hey I have a work phone that I don't pay anything for... and I still hate it!! F'in motocrapola Verizon POS!!!
I have sprint with a palm treo 650 not bad, but does not work in india :(
Ya BM... where ya been?
i gota nextel too, cant complain, but cant praise em either
I HATE SPRINT!... they screwed me over big time...

I was getting deployed and called them and had them put my account on hold due to my deployment... and even faxed in a copy of my orders... the lady said everything was good to go and the day I was scheduled to leave... my phone would be teporaraly shut off... till I got back. one more thing I should explain is that this account was payed via electronic check. I have to put money in this account... it's not my normal direct deposit one. but wasn't worried about it as with my sprint account on hold... there should be nothing charged to it... well needless to say I was gone for 6 months... the whole time... my account was still active... being charged my $65 a month plus late fees and bounced check fees... not only that but my BANK was charging me over draft fees... bounced check fees... and negitive ballance fees... the whole thing cost me just north of $5,000!!! that money was supposed to buy my first bike!!!! I tried to do all I could but even the Base Legal office said there was nothing I could do...

I talked to sprint and even though I could give them a copy of my orders... and they could see that I hadn't accepted 1 call or used 1 minute... they wouldn't even wave the LATE FEES!

SO F*** SPRINT!

I would sue em!

I wanted to... but the base legal office said there was nothing I could do... I had no proof that I had requested it shut off for that time being... I now have a recorder that I attach to my phone anytime I make calls like that.
I'm currently using Verizon since they seems to have the best coverage anywhere in North America (in my experience). Their customer service has improved a lot compared to few years back and any (non-monetary related) problem will be handled promptly. Unfortunately, they do charge for every friggin little extra feature. The pretty much strip of all the functions that comes with the original phone and make u pay for stuff like ringtones, songs, and to transfer files/pictures. I will stick with Verizon for now even their phones are expensive and lacks the "cool" factor but when I'm out in the middle of no where, I want a phone that'll have receptions.
