Hey Bulldog, great thread idea.

Besides bikes, I am also into cars and many other hobbies. Most of all, I like to read. Books, magazines, brochures, palms, you name it, I'll read it.

I love the internet, particularly message boards. It's the most efficient way to get information on hobbies from real people, not just advertisements. For example, if you want to learn the real scoop about riding, a few hours on a board like this one is what you need. :twfrox:

I like politics and follow news, both locally and on a national level. I browse many blogs and message boards online to try to get as many views on subjects of interest as possible. I even run my own small board for general chit-chat, with a heavy accent on news, politics, and other topics of serious debate and discussion.

In real life, I work and spend time with my wife and family, doing the things that are important to us and working towards improving myself and my life.
Some guitar, cars, shooting pool, hanging out w/ my girlfriend, going to bars. Really, it's mostly going to bars and hanging out w/ the g/f lately.
I work on my truck (Peterbilt), work on the bikes, ride the 4wheeler, ride jet ski, boat, water-ski, and until my Jeep was stolen Rock Crawling. Now Im just to pizzed to build another Jeep. Cant forget message boards.
I commercial fish in the summer months which really sucks for riding. I end up riding in the winter months here in Washington. If I'm not riding I'm doing the art thing or reading bike mags or watching the races on tuesdays. I'm usually thinking about bikes and riding most of the time.
A lot of poker lately. Really getting into it. Think I'm going pro!!!!! Kidding. I work out..some. I use to do mixed martial arts (UFC type stuff). I follow the sport religously and love doing it. Got out of it due to lack of free time but plan on starting to train again this year sometime. Besides that, it's time with my son and my girl. With my son, it's just soaking everything in as he grows. It's so awesome and priceless. As for my girl, we do everything together and a lot of things I can't talk about!!!!!!!!

I'm thinking down the road about doing it too. Once things are "settled" around here I may make a run at it as well.

You make a good point... I have never used that term... when describing any bike... I call it whatever it is.. and that's it...

- :jacked:
only use it when im talking to ppl that have no clue what a zx, gixxer, r1,f4i, etc are. usually old ppl. lol. casue ppl that dontknwo ask you what kind of motorcycle you have and you say zx6r and they say. HUH? and you just wanna smack them.lol i usually use the term BIKE but then ppl mistake it for a bicycle. i cant win.
:jacked:

Most people know them as that! You say sportbike and they say "you mean those crotch rockets, they look so un-comfortable"... LMAO!!

I agree Chris, to use to describe to someone who does not ride would be one thing, because many dont understand "Sportbike". However to use/ post the term "Crotch Rocket" in a bike forum, comprised mainly of Sportbike riders is just :loser: .
Should I look into changing the WOS federal ID and change the name to Wide Open Crotch Rockets (WOCR)??? <note to members: its NOT gonna happen> LOL The only "Crotch Rocket" I have is the one my wife occationally dusts off and goes for a ride on! But thats not for this Forum. :twfrox: :dthumb:
I'm with ya Ace... that's my crotch rocket as well.... DAMN where is CJD when I need her... :D

what do you guys do

Sorry to bring up such an old thread, but since Im new to forum and riding; was curious as to what other hobbies fellow sport riders were into, so did a search and found this thread.

Myself, usually pretty bussy between work and school, but my other hobby would be training in Muay Thai (AKA Thai Boxing) school I train at.. I dont train to compete..mainly just for the love of the sport & to stay fit. Quite a few of the people that train there also ride sport bikes.

To other recent newbies post up your hobbies...to veterans post up any new hobbies you picked up since you last post to this thread...
