Where is this selling at. After a Grand Master Dumb A$$ wrecked my F2 when I sold it I have always regretted letting it go. Be nice to have a CBR back in hte stable for a track bike.

Try and start it when it is still cold and look for any smoke! Also smell wheather there is a strong smell of Petrol when ideling. CBR engines are normally very reliable! Look if the Sump plug is drilled...could mean it's been raced! Try to wiggle the front wheel to feel for any play...could mean Head bearings are shot from too many wheelies. Look for scratches on the footpegs...or on the frame...even though body work can look good, it could have been dropped.

Not sure where you are at, but if the deal is that sweet, Would you still save money making a road trip or having it shipped.. $1900. sounds dirt cheep. Be sure you have all of the facts. Or if it is too far then I would just move on. Miss this good deal and live to see another good deal another day. It will come.
I offerd a guy $1500.00 less than what he was asking for his 1200 Bandit, He nor I would Budge. I found my FZ1 at abetter price w/les miles and super clean. The day I brought it home the guy called and said he would take my offer. I had to tell him no. But I am glad that one fell through. I love my FZ1. :2cents:

A 1998 worth $4,000?? :yikes: My personal opinion is the $1900 is a good deal, its almost impossible to find any bike (running) for under $2K. They are great bikes and if it was closer to me (and in as good of shape as you say) I would snap it up in a heartbeat. Make sure you check for straight frame & forks plus see it run.

:luck:

As I've learned my lesson, chances are I will never buy a bike that is not running upon purchase, that I intend to ride. WAY to much hassle. Also, chances are I will not buy a bike that has a SALVAGE title. WAY to much hassle again. My suggestion, if you want to avoid the hassle, make sure it at least runs well. But hey, more power to ya if you want a fixxer-upper :dthumb:

i have seen pics of it on the net, its about 4 hours away from me..
There's gotta be something wrong with it...doesn't run, wrecked, salvage title...who knows...thats less than 1/2 of what its worth. Or maybe it was a mis-print.
