I have a 2000 GSXR 750, I want to put a pipe on it to make it sound a bit meaner. What kinds of pipes woudl fit my bike. I have learned to buy used exhaust parts becaue i have a habit of changing them often until i find the sound i want, so really i am looking to see what other model are alos compatible with minimal modification. Ex.. Will a yosh pipe from a 02 busa fit etc etc

Call the manufacturers to get part numbers and bounce it against your bike. You could proly just do it online in some online catalogs. The cans themselves might work but the mid pipe isn't gonna match. I know w/ Yosh the can bolts to the midpipe but GYT-R comes w/ the mid pipe. Hope this helps.

I had the same bike and had a full Yosh pipe on and it sounded great. Ask Gas Man. And it added 15hp to the rear wheel.

But I would get a Micron or a Yosh. Just order it for your bike... no big deal... most of your websites will allow you to just select your model and year...and BAM you'll get it...

You need to remember that once you go slip-on. There's no going back to a bolt on or factory can. You have to cut the flange off the mid-pipe to install a slip-on.

Now, most all Suzuki bolt on cans are the same. (at the flange)
Slip-ons just need to match diameter of mid-pipe either at the bottom where the mid-pipe mounts (+ bolting point) or at the can.

Yeah but I think most people use the word "slip on" interchangably. On my Kaw 9R my Micron was a bolt on as well....

That's because in the beginning. That's all there was. Nobody made a specific bolt on.

I just bought a Jardin Jardine Slip on on ebay for $70... I have no idea what it will sound like, bit the proce was right. Anyone have any feedback to this particular slip on

Decent pipe. Good proce too. My buddy has 'em on his RC51 and they have a deep thump to 'em. Not sur what they sound like on an I4. I guess you'll find out soon enough.

:iagree: having a hard time dealing with the salvage yards and shops because I was using slip and bolt on interchangably. I now know what the difference is though. My Micron, thats on its away, is a bolt on, but they have kits for most bikes to have the "High Mount" exhaust which is a slip on application I believe. (like ZX did or does wherever he went).


anyway I heard Jardine is a decent brand. I think their cans arent all that flashy, but do they really need to be? As long as it sounds nice, its all good!
