i have a 2000 sv650 and im thinking about putting on an exhaust. i heard holeshot or yoshimura. what do you think.

hmmm that I'm not to sure about....I knew people with the yoshi on an SV back when I bought mine so I knew what it sounded like..It's got a deep mellow loudish throaty sound to it.. :drool: I got alot of compliments on it.

It depends on if you want a slip/bolt on or a full system.
Yosha is great for both. If all you want is the slip/bolt on. Its going to be a mater of just finding the one you like the looks and sound of. Not enough power difference in the different brands.
Full system will give more power than a slip/bolt on and require some research of brands to get the best numbers.

I still have the spec sheet from my yoshi I can scan in real quick..It will be shipping out with the exhaust tomorrow.

im a new rider so power doesnt matter too much to me. just stock is pleanty of power for me right now. so i think slip on is the best idea right now. how much would i be looking at for a used one

I know this isn't the clearest...but this is a Full Race Exhaust Yoshimura RS-3 Oval Performance Exhaust System (SV656RR)
The graph on the left is Yoshi vs. stock RPM X1000 SAE Corrected HP. The line on top is the Yoshi, the bottom line is stock.

The graph on the right is Yoshi vs. stock RPM X1000 SAE Corrected Torque (lb-ft) The line on top is the Yoshi, the bottom line is stock.

Call Speed Werks for suggestions and new prices. Then check eBay for some used or new stuff. Remember to include shipping in the total price compare for mail order vs. picking it up at your local shop.

im thinking mabye only 200 to spend on one. do you think i can find a slip on for that much

now do ya see why the mine was such a great deal...I paid $700 brand new for mine and at that a full race exhaust...I sold mine for $350.00 and I threw my stage 3 jetted carbs in with the sale! I charged the guy $38.00 for shipping.

yeah well i couldnt get it right now.
