You're at work and you get a call from the police:

1. Mr/Ms ____________, we just completed a high-speed chase of a stolen car and we believe it is yours. Unfortunately the thief lost control and totaled it on Highway 22.

2. Mr/Ms ____________, we just completed a high-speed chase of a stolen sportbike and we believe it is yours. Unfortunately the thief lost control and totaled it on Highway 22.

Which upsets you more?

Honestly, the car because it would be impossible to replace it along with all the sentimental value it carries. It's been in the family since '79 and I plan to keep it in the family.

I'd be more pissed about my bike for sure. Sure, cars can be more expensive, but my car is just a ride. Just a box to transport me from place to place.

But my bike.... I've poured my heart and soul into it... caring for it, changing things, making it mine, making it the best for me. Washing the little bit of road grime off my bike while the car sits there covered in crap... I love my bike, I drive my car.
