What type of shield do you sport on your helmet?

I use both of mine... I will use my tinted one if I know I'll be riding during the day. If I am riding at night or will be on the way home I switch out to the clear and grab a pair of shades.

But do you use your clear shield all the time or your tinted all the time or rotate like me...

I stick with clear shield 99% of the time but on the occasional days when I feel like being a bit of a poser, I'll actually take the effort to put on my blue mirrored shield. The only time I really want to have a tinted shield is around the time when the sun set and you won't be able to see anything coming toward the sun.

I bought that progrip light sensitive/antifog shield accessory. I attached it to my clear shield, the anitfog works great, but the light sensitive (goes to clear at night/ darkens during day) feature doesnt work worth a dam...

Since it attaches to the inside of the shield, it catches the rim of the helmet when you try to flip up the shield and in my case since I have a modular helmet (KBC Freeze) , it also catches the rim when I flip up the helmet face. Currently looking for something better in the market with antifog capabilities.

I voted other because I use the metallic reflective type, not the tinted ones. But, I use it only during the day, using the clear at night.

I've read of others wearing their shades inside their helmet but the Oakleys I've worn in my lid are a big problem because of the long earpieces. They impinge the back of the helmet and force the shades off the bridge of my nose.

I use an Iridium/Tinted shield all the time. I have a pair of night time glasses with the yellow lens that I carry in my bike. If i'm riding at night, i'll still wear my helmet, but leave the visor up and wear the glasses.

If I could find a good pair of Oakley sunglasses that fit under my helmet, I might use a clear visor all the time and just use sunglasses in the day.

I have a pair of the Oakley X metal glasses and the arms are too wide to fit under my helmet.

I change to much to give a definate answer. During the summer I wear a mirrored w/ sunglasses during the day and Clear with safey glasses at night. The mirrored really doesn't have too much tint amazingly enough so it's great in the evenings.

During fall, winter and spring it's clear all the time. I wear safety glasses under most of the time when it's warm out cause I like to throw the shield up and it never fails I take a bug about once a ride.

I've got dark smoke and clear, usually whichever i'm not using is in the tank bag. Only time I wear the clear during the daylight hours is if I'm not bringin the tank bag and I know i'm gonna be out after dark.

I use to rock clr at night and tint during day w/ my old helmet. When i got my Scorpion they didn't have tinted so I didn't by one. But i found out it's nicer to ride with sunglasses on during the day because i could leave my sheild up and not have to worry about getting crap in my eyes, and it cools me down in the hot heat.

I chose other....It depends on which helmet I am using. My KBC I have a light tinted sheild that I can ride during the day, and I can see fine at night with. By other helmet all I have is a clear sheild for it, I don't want to buy a tinted sheild for that one, but when I buy my new helmet I will buy a tinted sheild.
i can't wear sunglasses with my helmet...they push up against my sinusis I just can't tolorate the pressure in that area.

I took the rubber of my oakleys and they fit good now. You own that R6 too SV?
Well on my bad SV's its only Monday two weeks ago, I went to merge onto the interstate and my $120. Oakleys went flying off my head and I got to watch them smash and shatter all over the interstate while I was looking over my shoulder. :cursin: :cursin: I am still so pissed about that. I still haven't brung myself to buy another pair yet..but I will.

No I don't have an R6 DLITALIEN, I am stepping up to the Big 07 R1 in 07. Unless something happens that I will be buying sooner.
