Hello guys Im new to this forum but Im not new to sport bikes. Ive had all big cc bikes and Im getting the itch again. I have been reading alot and trying to figure out what I want. I really like the Kawasaki ZX-10 and I saw on their website they are offering the ZX-12. But Im also partial to the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 since my first was a GSXR 1100. What are you guys views. Im 6'3" about 220lbs so I want it to be alittle comfortable. I sat on a R-1 and man was it a tight fit. Thanks alot

What type of riding would you do the Most? Is the full blown sportbike going to be cosmetic? If so then you might want consider saving some doe and go with a street fighter or Nekkid if you will. You can get most of the performance and some of the styling for about $3000.00 less in most cases and still have more power than you'll ever need. But for sure if track time and full out racing is essential then I feel a R1 is the way to go, then any of the other 1000's. Dont get me wrong. They are all bad ass bikes but something about the Ravin is hot. It has been said it runs over 100 mph in first gear? I cant confirm but my FZ1 with the somewhat older R1 motor does about 80ish in first at 150lbs more weight. So I kinda think it is not imposible for the R1 to do this. But in a nut shell it might be overkill for a commute bike. I ride a "Sport touring" style FZ1 if you will and it dont lack at all the excitement of a "sportbike" 1000cc's of pure excitement.
