I thought I would start a forum so here goes. You wake up one morning and you have no money and no credit. Would you sell your bike to get money or would you ride and be broke? Me, I would borrow some gas money and ride. What's your opinion?:twfrox:

I'm still young and I don't wanna die from hunger or cold just yet. SO yeah, I'll sell the bike, get warm and grab some food and start my life over. Bikes changes every few years so I may end up with better bikes years down the road when there are extra money to be spend. Btw, where's the poll?

I lost everything I owned a number of years ago:flush: , except my 2 bikes and a beater car....sold both the bikes, used the money to start a new business, and now I have all the bikes I want.....

Well I don't know about the totally broke thing. But I have had to consider the bike thing carefully within the last month. Being that I have to move. Many people say... "well if the money is tight for the move... maybe you can just put off the new bike for a year or so..." I reply... "hell no, all I have for excitement and pleasure is the bike!" And its true... I don't have ANY other hobbies.

No for the broke with bike thing... I say yes, but push come to shove, if the bike had to go I might get rid of it. But I would reduce my quality of cars first and the house before getting rid of a bike completely!

I agree with GM. I really don't have any other hobbies, so the bike is a must have. I keep putting buying the R1 off, but I want to put down some cash so I don't have to finance so much. I care if I am broke, but I don't want to be that broke. It has been nice the past 3 months with no motorcycle payment tho.

If it means taking care of my family.....the bike goes. I'll sell the bike, get the money, buy a gun, rob a bank, take care of the family, buy another bike....simple huh!

I hate the thought of selling the bike. :nonod: However, my time has come. The gixxer is on her way out here in a couple months. I don't really need the money...although I could use it (and will) to pay off a couple bills.

But...I gotta get another one come riding season. We'll see how that works out...

The bike is a toy/hobby. If i needed to sell it to survive, so be it. Thats whats good about bikes anyway, you can turn around and sell them quickly(usually), and for cash. And like most said, newer/better bikes come out every year :yesnod:

Depends...am I supporting a family or just myself? If I had a family, then the bike would be gone, no regrets at all. If I am by myself it would depend, I have other priorities/hobbies that come before biking.
