Well, a squid is someone who usually rides without any gear. You can also find them doing stunts while not wearing gear. Have you ever seen the guys that go riding with shorts, a T-shirt and a pair of sandals? THAT is a squid. Have you ever seen that same guy pulling wheelies and doing stoppies? That's the squid poster child.

If you want to see squids, come to SC! They're everywhere. They drive up and down the strip practically in their underwear at the beach to pick up chicks and show off their bikes. If they wanna show off their bikes, do it on a track so we can see what the bike can do and they better ride it like they fawkin own it. I also want to see them in full gear and not cruisin around working on their tan. Full gear is sexy!!!! Just my opinion

people revving the **** outta their bikes in walking pace traffic on a street like rodeo drive/robson in vancouver , just to show off-we'll there isn't any other point to it. most of them can't even ride, like i mean total newbies/2+ chicken strips

-people that hang out at a prime location all the time just to pose. like rodeo drive/or robson
like one of the starbucks in downtown vancouver where its the one of the busiest intersections for walking traffic and known to see celebs.
they purposely go to get attention, they never actually ride their bike and they talk like they could actually ride

this would be a better explaination

So what is a poser? It's a motorcyclist with wrong intentions. A rider who does not care about the consequences of wreckless actions on the streets or the negative attentions that it attracts. A rider who does not appreciate or respect the motorcycle as a sophisticated machine with great faculty. A rider who does not harbour some basic technical comprehension or at the very least a desire to understand it's inner beauty. It's a rider who assumes to be skilled and considers appearance more important than safety.

It's a rider whose reigning priority is to ride and impress.

Do you agree?

Since you haven't heard of squid, have you heard of a curb monkey?
It's girls who hang out on street corners or wherever just to get picked up by guys on bikes...I'm going out on a limb here...but I'm gonna say it anyway...to get picked up by squids :leaving:

So, we call those curb monkeys in my neck of the woods

Everybody is kinda right...

Squid definition is hard. Eveyrbody has a different take on it. In general, it's a guy riding a MC that has no right. Riding in a t-shirt..no helmet...helmet sittin ON TOP of his head....stretched out swingarm cause it looks cool....ect...

The best way to get a lot of knowledge fast on the subject is in the linky below...but remember, that is not all true...

You're a dead man!!!!!!

All good definitions by everyone. It's really open for debate and everyone defines it a bit differently. Really, a poser and a squid are the same thing depending on how lose the definitions are.

I Like what Walter Kern said

No one is quite sure where this term came from. It is a naval term for a young sailor. It may be an acronym. Some examples are "SQUirrely kID," "Stupid, QUick, and Inevitably Dead," or "Super QUick, Inadequately Dressed."
