I am looking into getting a Palm or some other hand held. For under $350..who has had the best experience with them? I am wanting to also share files on it with a friend as well. Just so you know. Tell me what is best.

I had a palm for sooo many years and loved it. I then switched over to a pocket PC like compaq Ipaq or HP Ipaq. I loved that one sooo much more becuase it was windows ce based. I sold these back in my retail day and I would say go with the pocket pc.

I currently have both. I have a PalmOne now for personal use and a Compaq PocketPC for company use. I only use my work one for work and mine for the calander and phone book. I think they are the only way to go.

But the pocketpc being windows based is a obvious advantage...

I am currently using a Navman Pin 100 (rebadged Mitec Mio 168) which is a window based PocketPC. It's a PDA and GPS all in one so I can actually carry it with me and have the maps and gps feature without connecting it to a car and dealing with a bunch of wires/cables. The battery is not replaceable but I get two weeks of regular use between charge. You can do a search on google and see if that's for you.

my new dell desktop was top of the line when I bought it this year..I don't even use it anymore...it sits on the desk..I use my old P3 wireless laptop...I upgraded the desktop to 2 hard drives...maxed out the memory..I still don't use it that often unless I am doing video or picture uploading/downloading. I must have 10 USB ports, dvd burner/cd-r burner, upgraded graphics card....and it just sits there. It gets the job done when I need it.
