Not sure... I do most of my own work... I only paid $125 + parts for my jetting, so that is close...but my fork maintance that I'm currently doing...

I bought some great Ohlins 10# fork oil at $25 per liter... 1 liter per fork and 1 liter for parts cleaning = $75

Then I bought all new bushings at another $75

Plus 2 shop hours (@$80 per)to have them completely serviced and looked over = $160

$10 for a real good box and some bubble wrap type stuff + $10 to FedEx them = $20

==$330 not bad by standards of this topic thread!!!

Whatever the parts cost, It gets done in my garage. If a 7 dollar-an-hour grease monkey can fix a motorcycle so can I. And further more, I can trust my work, unlike some of these jack of all trade places.

Well there is stories for every service place. When you get chance click over to Wera.com and read on what some racers have to say about the guy....Im sure every story has 2 sides tho. But I wasnt speaking about Brighton, so dont getting you panties in a wad GAS. :disapp:

My 600 mile service from the stealer cost me $150.00 for basically an oil change...unless you count the belt buckle scratches on my tank, greasy paw prints, and they left it out overnight in the rain...The only time they see it now is when I ride by

I know what you're talking about. The dealers are the worst!!!

So now I will use James for performence upgrades that I don't want to do..

I have 2 more dealer to try for my warrenty stuff...

And I have a private owned shop in Lapeer to do my collision repairs..

My bike has yet to see a shop or the dealer. I do all my own maintence stuff (hey I'm a mechanic myself... no point in paying somebody else to do it), so the only time my bike goes to the dealer is when I ride it there to buy an oil filter. Bike has had zero problems thus far, so not even any warranty visits  I guess the most I've spent on it was the two tires, which was about $250 or so total. The dealer here isn't the greatest anyways... always get it back with something out of place or screws missing here and there, stuff like that. When I took my front wheel in to get the new tire mounted and balanced, they almost didn't give my my side collars back! I had to tell them 3 times, "yes, they were in there when I brought it in, trust me". After 2 walks back into the shop they finally found them somewhere :bonk:

Only thing I might take it in for is a valve adjustment, and that's just cuz I hate dealing with all those stupid little shims :cursin:

~$200 but that includes parts

I needed new tires so I pulled the rims off the bike and gave them to a local shop to mount/balance the new tires. Then I put 'em back on. I being me and my step-dad...

:withstupi Not to worry you, but James Bethena hasn't exactly received a 100% customer satisfaction rating. :disapp:

Problem with BMW three year warranty, dealer has to service bike :upset:
12K service on my K1200RS ran about $600 with parts
After warranty runs will do my own services.

Yeah but I wish all bikes would come with the 3yr warrenty.... it would show that they are willing to stand behind their products...
