When did ARAI change their policy?

Sorry, but all it "proves" is that you can sell a lot of magazines by printing a controversial article and picking a fight with a very respected non-profit safety foundation that has spent the better part of the last century trying to improve the safety of helmets.

If you'd like to purchase any of the helmets they rate the best, I'll be happy to order them for you ... from the single distributor of them that spends millions in advertising with Motorcyclist every year.

As for the original question on price ... my personal feelings on Arai's semi-price fixing scheme aside, they are great helmets. And are hand-made. The quality is far and above that of cheaper helmets that are stamped out in factories in Korea and China. That does come at a price (but nothing close to what dealers are gouging people for on Arai at near 100% markup at MSRP).

:iagree: I thought that I was the only thinking that also. I am not going crazy  ...whew
