What are those?VolEngineer said:Try Bit Torrent and if that fails newsgroups or IRC might have some.
my boss was telling me about newgroups a few weeks ago while we were out for dinner and having a few drinks. He said he hasn't bought software in years. He told me I need to start looking into newsgroups. I don't pay for any software anyway. My friend is a network engineer and has ALP certificate copies that he install for clients computers for everything, so i just have him burn me a copy.VolEngineer said:www.bittorrent.com
That would be the one if you don't know what the 3 of them are for you to start out on. Newsgroups and IRC would take awhile to explain how to use them. Newgroups are just kinda like forums that allow you to attach files to, most of them are in split rar files that have like 40+ parts to them. You need to have access to newsgroups through your isp though or pay for access to them. IRC is internet relay chat, basically chatrooms that allow direct connections to download, most popular program for that is MIRC. They both require knowing exactly where to find the files, they aren't user friendly searchs like limewire and have thousands upon thousands of places to find the stuff.
Torrent is easy, you just need a search to find where the torrent file is and www.bittorrent.com has a search, there are others out there as well. First install the prog on your comp and then just search for a torrent file and open it up and torrent will download it to your desktop.
I think that's how my buddies computer got screwed up. By "borrowing" software from a site. Now I haven't been on the site yet so I'm not totaly sure what is in it. I'll check it out when i get home...if i can stay awake.R1up0n1 said:my boss was telling me about newgroups a few weeks ago while we were out for dinner and having a few drinks.
