I dunno...People get some wierd stuff on film these days...

That was an awful disaster though. I mean I've seen the movies and the documentaries, but that's just awful.

Here is the website I got them from:

www.nbc4i.com/feedroomvideo

I'm not sure if these were captured by a person or if they were by a resort cam. I couldn't listen to the audio because I *thought* there was a glitch on my computer. (I didn't know my hubby had the sound muted..LMAO :bonk: )

They always have an amatuer video by someone who was in, what looks like a high rise building.

Yeah same here. Makes me never want to go to the beach again. And I LOVE the beach. I think I'd rather have a hurricane or a tornado. Jut the loss of life that really gets to me. And some of the pictures they show are more of the children than the adults. :( That REALLY gets to me.

One of the big reasons so many people have been killed, is this is time of year, for their religion, that dictates they all go down and bathe in the ocean in the moonlight. Its a ritual that is done every year by the majority of the population. When they were all down there, the waves had calmed down enuff that they felt it was safe. The all hell broke lose and unfortunately so many of them were killed. sad :nonod:

While this is sad...it's not that suprising! :disapp: These countries are so far behind the rest of the world in so many ways. There is technology that will help predict this stuff but they don't have it. :nonod:

Not to mention that they say many more will die due to the lack of clean water, medicine, and food. :disapp: :bonk: It's really bad, but I was watching CNN yesterday and they showed a hospital and it looked like old footage from WWII. Just a line of beds in a room...like really old school.

It's sad but to me not surprising....I just thank God that I'm in the great USA!! :pat: :yesnod: :pat:

If anyone is interesting in helping out financially for real, at least for India, let me know. I have a good friend that travels to India twice a year and I usually give him money that he personally hands out to poor people in the country. No adminstrative fees, etc. like the bullshyt foundations that funnel half their money to terrorists..

Wow those pictures are amazing. You would figure that if the people saw that BIG A$$ wave coming toward them, you would think they'd start running. Hell I know I would. And even though I probably wouldn't be able to outrun the damn thing, at least I tried.

I was watching the Discovery channel and they had some really good shows about the Tsunami disaster. I thought it was very interesting and had a lot of information. It was very sad though. I can admit that some of the pictures and seeing the people who were emotionally and physically devastated by the disaster, made me a bit misty-eyed. :sob:

I can't even fathom living through something like that. And the SMELL!! I know I would not be able to handle it.
