I am not too sure where this belong but this is one of the question I've been wondering for a while. Since this is a motorcycle forum, why does it seem as though the off topic section has taken priority over the riding sections? I'm not looking to stir up some drama here but I am wondering what other members' opinions are regarding this issue. Besides, I haven't increase my post count for quite some time now and as a member I feel obliged to "contribute" to this forum.

My theory is that people are here for the common bond of riding, but that they also enjoy just yapping about stuff not related to bikes. However, they also know that the other sections are here and their bike related questions/comments can be discussed in the other sections when necessary.

Capt Morgan, you hit the nail on the head.

Look at the traffic, the posts in all the forums. Doesn't it make sense to have the most popular the easiest to see? We experimented a bit by moving it around, but people were so accustomed to it at the top some thought it went away!

It is sport bike forum, but regardless of where the OT forum is located on the index page, it's still going to be the most popular and most visited forum. I think you'll find this at almost any topic-oriented forum.

:iagree: Most chatter belongs in this area and would happen any way if it was not an oppostion.
