They are essentially the Ferrari of motorcycles in all aspects. You may be able to go faster and cheaper, but it's still not a Ducati. The build quality IS better than jap bikes, and I own a jap bike. There's no mistaking a Ducati. . the 998s are one of the most prized bikes out there. The 999, although slowly, is becoming that way as well. There's no mistaking one when you see it on the street.

I'd take a 999 in a heartbeat. . in fact, if I could get back even close to what I put in my C5, I'd sell it and get a Duck.

Just like anything else, there will always be people that disagree. "Ferrari is overpriced, the maintenance is too much. I can make my Civic outrun them for a fraction of the cost." lol To each their own.

Wait till the "cube" is in production. Then we will talk. @ least Aprillia's aren't in the shop every week with at "muffler" bearing failure. ;) Its ok tho, Aprillia's are just the favored bike of "EVERY" mag that tested the twins this year, last, and year before that.
Call the Duc a piece of **** all you want. (I take it that's what you're trying to say?) Honestly, though, you sound just like the 19 year olds ClubSi that say Porsches, etc, are overpriced pieces of scrap metal.

NO NO I love Porsches...Matter of fact I have bid on one. It's on ebay. I will give you the link later when I get home. Don't DIS the Porsche. Porsche can't be used as plural with an "s" unless you are talking as if Porsche owns something. Then it would be "s." Just a side note..... :) I'll stop now. (probably a good idea lol)

DUCs are cool if you're into that kinda thing!!! :gary:
Porsche = Singular
Porsches = Plural

People on "ricer" boards like to talk about Porsches, Ferraris, or whatever performance vehicles they can come up with that generally cost more than their cars.

I like Porsches. The point I'm making is that your argument against Ducs is the exact same argument they make.

There are definitely a lot of posers on Harleys these days. Some people imply that a lot of Duc riders are posers too. However, the largest growing population of posers I see are mostly people on chromed out jap rockets. (see my post on the squids hanging their helmets on the side of the bike) So, it's a wash.

Ducatis are by far the most uncomfortable bikes I've ever sat on, but I also think aside from the Tre that they are the best looking bikes out there by a long shot. Last, you can't beat the sound coming from their pipes. :smash:

p.s. I'm absolutely dominating you in this whole grammar/spelling thing. :here: :D

Personally, for me, Ducs are about as comfortable as sitting on a cement block,
I agree. . the gas tanks feels like it's constantly slugging you in the gut. lol

Twisty, I wouldn't have said that stuff if you didn't get snide about spelling Aprilia.

As for dominating, I can't decide if I'm gonna wait for Pridmore to come back through w/ his school, or go out to Keith Code's school.

I want to, but Pridmore comes right by my house. A few of my buddies race or used to race, they can help me. Still, I'd rather have a certified instructor. I'm getting better on the backroads, but I still can't keep up w/ them, not even close.

Have you gone to any of them?
