I heard a story a while back... not sure if it was a joke(thinking it's more of a joke) or something that actually happened to someone... but here goes

this guy bought his teen age daughter a brand new 6speed Camaro SS for her 16th birthday... a week later the motor blew... so he took it to the shop and had it swapped out under the warranty... two weeks later... the motor blew again... so he took it back and raised hell... the dealership put up a fight about it but in the end replaced the motor... he gave it back to his daughter and told her to take it easy for a little bit... two weeks later AGAIN the motor blew... so the dad stormed into the dealership and again proceeded to raise hell... this time the dealership refused to work on it... but after much protest by the father they did the work but told him this will be the last time... they will NOT do anymore work for him...

the guy drove the Camaro home and had his daughter come out and ride with him... he drove around the block and asked her simple questions about her driving... asking her if she’s speeding and what not… when he asks what RPM she shifts at… when she says what? He repeats the question…

she looks puzzled…
he points to the tach and asks “what RPM do you shift at?”

She replies… “wait… I have to shif? I thought the car did that for you”:yikes: :bash:

Seems like the winner with the helmet on backwards has been around a few years. I love the gas hose hanging out of the fill hole. Its scary when that happen on the other side of the pump while your filling up.:yikes:

I doubt that the story is true ONLY because I doubt that a shop would have replaced it on warranty more than once.

Doesn't matter if its true or not. It makes for a very funny story.
true... but it would be more so if it actually happened...

on a similar note... one night my uncle was driving my aunt arround and after just buying a brand new truck... not being used to the cluch in the new truck he went to shift and ground the gears... my aunt commented on it saying it sounded horrible... and my uncle acting like he did it on purpose said that your supposed to do that to "break in the gears so they slide in easier in the long run"... my uncle and I both laughed (I was about 15 or so) but I my aunt didn't... thinking that she didn't get the joke I just for got about it... about three weeks later my aunt went to pick my father up from the airport... and she ground EVERY gear... my dad didn't say anything at first not wanting to embarrase her thinking she was just learning how to drive a stick... but when they got home my dad asked my uncle if she was just learing... and he said no... she'd been driving sticks for several years... so my dad told him about the trip home... My uncle looked livid... he yell "Diane... what the hell were you grinding the gears for?"

"YOU SAID it'll make them slide in easier down the line" my dad and I didn't stop laughing for about an hour:lol: my uncle just turned pink.... lol...
