My new Z1r strike blade helmet came in today, (the one rated # 1 in the "blowing the lid off article") ......it was only 89.00 so I thouhgt it was worth a try.....before I drop 500-600.00 for the AGV Ti Tech

This helmet is surprisingly light, the graphics finish is awesome..it doesnt look like cheap stickered graphics and the fits is quite comfortable. I also bought a blue mirrored shield for it and it looks even nicer with it on.

Initial impressions :dthumb:, about to go take it out for a spin after dinner.

The gas stations were already bumper to bumper last night :crazy: Gas will probably be 5.00/gal by sunday :crazy:

What about the noise? I always have a problem with wind coming in and screwing with my mind for hours on hours of my rides. So price is not an issue to fix that problem, for me. Even if that helmet doesn't work out, for $89 you got a nice spare.

Alright here is the actual pic of the Z1r:

My opinion on a 1-5 scale (5 being best): Overall 4 out of 5, its a steal for the price. my Kbc Freeze (3x cost) fails in comparison to this Z1r. Based on below I'd give my KBC an overall of 2 rating and 5 on noise.

Aerodynamics: 4
Fit: excellent fit & comfort; I give it 4
Helmet finish/Graphics: 4.5
Venting: 3
Weight: surprisingly 4...i thought helmets in this price range would be much heavier

Noise: ( 5 being the loudest): 3

Sounds great. I paid less than $100.00 for mine.
I dont buy into big bank cows that have sour milk. If it works and looks good and fits good that is what I buy. :2cents:
