By tomorrow night (Monday April 18th).... CHAR WILL HAVE A BIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to Altoona to pick it up. It's a 2000 Suzuki Katana 600. I am sooooooo excited you guys!!!!!!! Keep in mind I have NO idea how the F* to ride. And have to wait for the next MSF course to open up...WTF?!?!?! BUT Tuesday, I go for most of my gear and my lid. Pictures will DEFINITELY be posted when I get home. After I stop celebrating.

AND...if I decide I'm too terrified to ride or wip out.... I'll sell the thing...LOL :bonk:

Glad to hear that you're buying all the appropriate gear and that you're also taking the MSF course. The Katanas are good starter bikes that don't have so much power to get you into trouble, plus they're fairly comfortable. I really suggest picking up the book, "Total Control" to help you learn proper body position. Plus, if you aren't taking the MSF course for awhile, you'll get a head start on controls, theories, etc.

Please don't get on the street until you take the course, there are just too many things that you need to learn on a street bike that have to be taught in person.

But, congratulations, you're gonna love it! :here:

Congrads! Dont underestimate the Kat though... for new riders it can still jump on ya (seen it). And remember, the best way to learn to ride is to do stand-up wheelise @ 100mph thru traffic. Enjoy!

Thank you guys all so much!!!

Today is the day! As soon as my son gets home from school, we're heading out. And to tell you guys the truth, I'm absolutely TERRIFIED and EXCITED at the same time. When I get home I'll post up some pics and a full report on how the trip went.

And don't worry. I'm not going to be a squid about this. I HATE being a classified as a SQUID to begin with. I DO plan on taking the MSF course and staying off the road. Well except for the road in front of my house (I live in a no traffic developement) or parking lots...LOL

Rodogg: If I happen to come across him, I'll do more than biotch slap, I beat the ever lovin' shiot outta him for ya. ;)

And Gas Man, dear dear Gas Man.....How many threads have you put up that are : :nopicsbs:

LMAO...You'll get your pics...Promise!!
