OMAHA, Neb. -- One man may have suffered heat stroke Monday while working at a construction site.

Workers at a site near Council Bluffs Airport called for help. At about 5 p.m., they saw a worker lying next to a piece of machinery.

Rescuers wanted a medical helicopter to take him to the hospital, but no helicopter was available, NewsWatch 7 reported.

The man was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in serious condition.
