Well it was a good one today.. I think the count was up to 8 bikes done today - mostly forks and track day prep shiiit.. I got alot done to my bike - new fork fluid, new plugs, new air filter (see other post ), new brake fluid, new oil filter, re-safety wire, remove the plate and the mirrors, tape up the lights, etc., clean and wax the chain.. Loaded it on the trailer and ride to roll out for the upcoming track day.. It sucked riding in the rain this morning to get to the Twistified Racing Garage but several of us toughed it out and it was all worth it.. It was a madhouse but we got some serious shiiit done today.. Here are a few pics - note the before and after pics of the fork fluid - first one is dark murky crap and second one is the new fluid which is like apple juice..K&N Filter Thread

it is not hard at all.. i heard the shop charges $500 to do it - forget that.. it takes about an hour and probably better with 2 people.. if you have a front stand it is no problem.. i felt better working with people who had done it / know what they are doing, etc. you should have come over today, we would have helped you.. lol..SVupON1 said:

Today was a blast! I am beat, but it was very productive. I was the last one of the 8 out of there... and just got home. Got coolant replaced, fork oil (amazing difference), new tires (pilot powers), removed center stand, finished safety wire... all sorts of goodies. Thanks to MP and Twisty and Super and Dyno, etc etc etc... Whew! :dthumb:

You might want to wear some nose plugs when you open those puppies up. It's gonna smell real pretty!SVupON1 said:

I'm not sure what they are here in PA, but in KY they were 50 per hour. That's why if I can do the labor myself I do it, if I know I will mess something up or I have no clue what I am doing, then I am forced to pay the labor rate. I have no idea what I am paying labor rate to have the valves adjusted tuesday I just know it going to cost $192.00 + a possible $50. for seals/gaskets misc.twisty said:
I dont care what the rates are, I dont and wont pay them. I have a manual and full range of tools. This year I will be adding autotire changer and then the new house will have a Dyno. I piss on shops, altho Detroit Euro is awsome. Anyone needing service in this area on suspension stuff should see Keith over there.
