wheelies

I have been trying them all summer. Heres how I go:Bring the RPM to 5000 then roll the throttle so it lifts, hold the throttle till I'm at a comfortable height than i just adjust it back and forth to hold for distance. Remembering to hold the back brake just in case or let off the throttle.I mostly do sit downs but was trying stand ups before it got too cold. :disapp: Hope to stunt a little more next summer.

k, well, i will try to learn how to keep getting it up, then worry about changing gears laterl. :)
That's the best way.
When you start trying to shift. You do that on the way up. If you wait till your at the balance point. It may send you on over.
so when you feel the front end coming up, i should shift into second?

It takes lots of practice and patients but, YES
Lots of practice.... I hate telling people much about this stuff... I don't want anybody to get too far ahead of themselves...

blue pills-- yep, DONT NEED THEM.

but i did ride a 20foot wheelie tonight in front of my house. rode it pretty far. it was sic, i though about shifting into second, but i figured i would save that for a sunny bright, "ambulance responding quick" type of day. :yikes:
if you change your shift pattern so its 1 up 4 down its easier by the way
ok, how in the heck do i go about doing that? i didnt know you could do that, that would be sic, and i was originaly used to that type of a shifting setup.
how could you be used to that kind of setup (1up...4 down...or 5 down in your case)

what machines operate in that pattern???

I know none of the machines ive ever ridden do...
i apologize, i was thinking the wrong way. lol

i need to stop studdying my work papers and pay attention to what i was wrighting. but it does seem like a good idea, kinda cool also. is it possible?
:readng: ...stop reading...its bad for you!!!!
im actully a personal banker and i have been studdying for my bankers tests and every time i get irritated or frustrated i get on the net or go ride the bike for a minuite. but yea, sorry i didnt read fully
BTW...dont know if anyone thought this was funny....

but take another glance at the thread title.......

I just gave it a 2nd glance now...and now im done and going to bed because obviously im tired...and my gf is bitching also....
GNH... I already stated that! :nonod:
:dupe:

The scary part is the shake when it comes back down. I try to stay away from wheelies.

The bill for a new front end scares me...I weigh almost as much as the bike:lol: ...
OH, COME ON, the price for the front end isnt that expensive. lol

im going to try to get the wheelies handled, but untill then, i guess i will just keep updating you guys with pics, and taking opinions on what else i can do to add more mods onto my ride.

All you have to do is, remove the shift linkage at the transmission and turn it 180 degrees so the shift rod is on top or visa versa. You may have to adjust the position a few times to get it to feel right and takes even longer to get use to actually shifting that way. BTW it is communally known as the GP shift pattern.
