First :welcome: and second... some say that they prefer the Yosh PC's over the Power Commanders.
You should be able to download some generic maps from the Yosh website. or take it to a Dyno tuning shop and get a custom.
What year, make, model is your bike and what mods do you have on it?

I'm considering a Yosh box as an upgrade to my PCIII. My dyno guy says I can get another 5 to 10 hp over the PCIII with less chance of losing maps like PC's are know for.
The problem is, you get a preset map and not much else. A good dyno tech has to do the rest if you want more.

Im not arguing the fact that they lose their map. During winter storing some people have suggested removing the pc from your bike. There is CMOS battery in the PC that keeps the EPROM alive. The EPROM holds the map. If the battery in the PC goes low the map is lost. Powercommander will not admitt to this. I think there was a posting on Gixxer.com about this.

#1: There's no battery in a PC. It's flash ram. We have NEVER, Not once, Zero times, Seen a power commander "lose" a map. This is dealing with hundreds of them a year.
#2: you will not get "10 more hp" out of a Yosh EMS box. The EMS does let you store multiple maps in memory, which is cool for racing as you can develop a rain racing map that detunes the bike and switch to it easily. However ... it does exactly the same thing as a power commander - allows you to lean or richen fuel delivery at any giver RPM and throttle postition (and the latest ones have the quick shifter, etc, like you can get for a PCIIIusb)
Dynojet beat them to market, had wider adoption, and pretty much no one buys the EMS stuff.

:nonod: .....Flash RAM has to have some power to maintain its contents, while Flash memory will maintain its data without any EXTERNAL source of power but they use CHARGE PUMPS for the internal power source. To store an electron(DATA) You HAVE to have power of some sort. The Charge pumps are almost never ending but 100 years from now if you havent turned your bike on you might have lost your map in the PC.:lol: Maybe you got them confused.(I have a BS in Computer Science dont forget)SpeedWerks.com said:

Well from the nightmares my friends have had with their PCIII's I'll never buy one. Here is some links to show how many people say PC sucks. OnesmoothR6 is my friend on this forum. I just heard last night my friend with a SV1000 is having tons a problems with his PCIII now too.

Yoshi box
uke: Dynojet III. The Yoshi box is a so much better unit. Totally adjustable even if you have a turbo or nitrous. I give it:dthumb: up.

I've used Power Commanders just about as long as they have been on the market. (Only used one EMS) The only issue I personally have had, was a bad ground that caused it not to function correctly 100% of the time. Once I figured out the problem. Everything was great.
After all the years of good service from them. I keep hearing horror stories of other people having problems. I know most issues are from bad maps being installed verses the PC actually being bad.
In short,
all the recent bad reports have led me to believe there is a production quality issue. Seems to happen with most items mass produced at some time or another.:2cents:
