Junior year high school me buddy got summer job helping janitors at our high school. Janitors at our school did nothing during Summer break, so all we had to do was show up  Correction last two weeks went on vacation with family and still got paid
Plus side cheerleaders for school district trained at high school we worked at that summer :redevil:
Made $3.75 hour not bad for those times.

My first was when I was a sophomore in HS, 16 years old, got a job as a cartboy at walmart, and that was before they got those little machines to push them. That job SUCKED!! Especially during the winter when there was a foot of snow on the ground. But hey it payed the bills (which at the time was only my $1500 car loan, auto insurance, gas, and repairs [damn GM cars :cursin: ] Ahh the good ol' days!). After 2 years of that hell, I finally got moved into the electronics dept, and worked there for 3 more years. Then I finally got smart and quit that hell hole

First real job....12 yrs old. Thinning apple trees in the local orchards.
Pulling the real small limbs off the trees, and separating clumps of apples, taking a clump of five apples and pulling off the smallest two, so the other three could grow larger.

Then someone discovered the small limbs were flexible like a fishin pole and when you attached the small apples to the end, you snapped it like a whip and you could throw apples 100 mph. Work became a lot of fun after that....

I am a country boy, so my first paying job was on a farm picking up hay, cutting & hanging tobacco, shoveling s?!t, feeding the cattle, mowing lawns.
Not bad really, I made $250 a week just for working at the Queens Farm.
I also flipped burgers at there restaurant in the slow season. (3.25 an hour)
They took care of me because I was the poor kid in the neighborhood that actually would work.

Pretty good money for a 15 year old in the 80's!
